Quebec Resorts

The province of Quebec is filled with ski resorts spread out over the Laurentian and Appalachian Mountains. The average season runs from late November through to April and sometimes into May. Mont Tremblant is a world destination resort located north of Montreal. The European designed base village is filled with restaurants, pubs, lodging and shopping. Close to Quebec City you'll find Mont Sainte Anne which offers some of the best skiing in Eastern Canada with panoramic views of the St. Lawrence River. Le Massif is close enough to spend a day skiing at St. Anne and then heading over the next day to ski Massif. It has the highest vertical drop in Eastern Canada. Mont Saint-Sauveur is known for it's world class night skiing. Driving through this area at night is a winter wonderland of twinkling lights from Sauveur, village storefronts and surrounding resorts. Quebec is also filled with Nordic trails. The Gatineau Hills near Ottawa, Ontario is world renowned for it's trail system.

Mont Tremblant located in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec is a 4-season resort with a European designed village filled with restaurants, shopping and lodging at the base. A stand up lift called The Cabriolet connects the upper and lower parts of the village. There is also a ski trail running through the village for true ski-in/ski-out access to hotels. The village is host to many events throughout the year. Ski and snowboard trails cover over 600 acres with four distinct areas: the North Side, South Side, Sunny Side and The Edge. The top of the mountain has a chalet and restaurant with magnificent views over the Laurentians. Tremblant's three snow parks cover over 30 acres. Winter activities are numerous and include cross-country skiing right from the village.

Mont Sainte-Anne is home to some of the best skiing in Eastern Canada with spectacular views of the St. Lawrence River. It is situated just 30 minutes from Quebec City. The mountain offers a large variety of 71 trails on both sides of the mountain. 19 of the trails are open to the highest vertical for night skiing in Canada. The main lodge located at the base houses lockers and the Owl Resto-Bar. The Chalet Summit cafeteria/bar is located right on the mountain with views of the south side overlooking the St. Lawrence River. The north side also has a chalet and food at the base. Snowshoe over 7 marked trails covering 37km or cross-country ski from the ski center over 200km of classic trails and 191km for skate skiing. Looking for more variety then try out dog sledding or fat bike on groomed trails. You'll find ski-in/ski-out accommodations right at the base.

Le Massif de Charlevoix ski area is located in Petite-Riviere-Saint Francois, Charlevoix, Quebec, approximately 2 hours from Quebec City and a popular destination for those also skiing nearby Mont Sainte-Anne. Le Massif's vertical drop is the highest in Eastern Canada and is is one of the few ski areas that is accessible from both the base and the summit. Enjoy panoramic views of the St. Lawrence river. Le Charlevoix is the steepest trail with a pitch of 64%! Expert skiers can explore the 100 acres of off-trail terrain. The ski season is longer because of it's higher than average annual snowfall compared to other areas in the east. At the east end of the mountain you can discover the thrill of sledding down the longest sled run in North America.

Stoneham Ski Resort is located 20 minutes north of Quebec City, Quebec. With 42 trails spread over three mountains Stoneham caters to every category of skiers. At night, ski over 19 lighted trails. Stoneham also boasts the only Olympic half pipe in the province made on a permanent infrastructure allowing it to open early in the season. 418 Park which is accessible by access card challenges you through jumps and a variety of modules. There is also an Intro Park for beginners which is open to all and offers 4 different modules. Other activities in the area are snowshoeing, geocaching and ice skating. Sauveur also connects to neighbouring Mont Avila where the Rockstar MS Snopark, the largest in the province, is located. Looking for something different? The Viking is a passenger controlled ride down a series of descents and circular curves on a track cut through the mountain terrain. Then there is Le Dragon, a double zipline that is pulled backwards to the top of the mountain and released.

Mont Orford ski resort is located near Magog, just an hour from Montreal, Quebec. The resort covers three mountains, Mont Orford, Alfred-Des-Rochers, and Giroux. Thanks to the three-mountain layout and four skiable faces, skiers and riders can follow the sun while being protected from the wind. The terrain park is built with a wide variety of modules with 2 lines: one for beginners and intermediate, the other for the more experienced. If it's your first visit or any questions about the resort look for the ambassadors wearing the question mark jacket. They are there to answer all your questions. Dining options are at the foot of Mont Orford and several other restaurants are located in the village of Magog. Two of the trails are categorized as glade skiing. The Resto Bar is located at the base for cafeteria style or more elaborate meals and great views of the slopes.
